Laura Lamph
Belfast born mezzo-soprano Laura is based in Denmark and enjoys a career as a soloist and consort singer.
She began her professional singing life in Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Dublin. After a while living on a volcano in Sicily, she lived in London for several years where she performed with a variety of ensembles including Arcangelo, The Dunedin Consort, Siglo de Oro, Polyphony, Fieri Consort & The Gabrieli Consort. In Ireland Laura has worked with Resurgam, Sestina, Chamber Choir Ireland and The Irish Baroque Orchestra. In addition to Ars Nova, Laura is a regular member of Theatre of Voices.
As a soloist she has appeared across Europe. Solo roles have included Irene in Handel’s Theodora, Dido in Purcell Dido & Aeneas, Handel Dixit Dominus and Messiah, Bach Ich Habe Genug, B minor Mass, Matthew Passion, and Christmas Oratorio, Copland In the Beginning, Mozart Requiem, Vivaldi Gloria, Steffani Stabat Mater and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle.
Laura collaborates regularly with pianist Miles Lallemant and they have given recitals in Ireland, Uk, Germany and Italy.
