
Artūrs Švarcbahs
Bass
Artūrs Švarcbahs (born 2000) is a Latvian singer and conductor based in Riga.
He works as a freelance bass soloist and performs with several ensembles across Europe, including Nordic Vocalists (Stockholm), Cappella Amsterdam, the Norwegian Soloists’ Choir, and Ars Nova Copenhagen. He has also worked as a singer with the Swedish Radio Choir and the Latvian Radio Choir.
He serves as an assistant conductor at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet. He has served as choirmaster of the State Choir LATVIJA, collaborating with distinguished conductors. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Orchestra Conducting at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Prof. Mārtiņš Ozoliņš, following an A-grade Bachelor’s degree in Choral Conducting with Prof. Andris Veismanis. In 2023, he was named Student of the Year.
He has conducted multiple choirs and orchestras across Europe and is a laureate of the 6th International Conducting Academy Estoril ’25, as well as choral conducting competitions. He has participated in singing and conducting masterclasses with Marina Rebeka, Jorma Panula, Atso Almila, and Vassily Sinaisky.
